Barcoding & Data Collection Systems specializes in providing software solutions for barcoding.
One of the larger solutions is the Warehouse Minder, a software application specifically designed to suit barcoding requirements.
B&DCS needed to support, maintain and develop this solution, which serves various Australian companies, including such well-known, world wide brands as Shell (http://www.shell.com/home/content/au-en/welcome.html) and Volkswagen, and average-size companies like Alstom Power (http://www.power.alstom.com), Fresh Produce Group (http://www.freshproducegroup.com/), the National Museum of Australia (www.nma.gov.au) and even a few Police departments in Australia.
So B&DCS required a very reliable partner, able to maintain the right level of quality which such large clients naturally required.
Challenge
The main challenge was to create a reliable, knowledgeable team, who knew their stuff really well.
The team needed to be creative, have lots of initiative, be an open communicator, and at the same time listen carefully to the plans and ideas of our client.
Also, as the system was very old and complex, our client needed high quality specialists, able to work with the legacy code in an effective yet careful way. This development required refactoring, optimization and adding new features without causing problems to existing features.

Software package for inventory management. Provides wide opportunities to record incoming goods, movement of goods within the warehouse, between warehouses, packing / repacking of goods, managing the issuance of goods shipped from the warehouse, purchase and sales Order entry. The system provides a large set of built-in reports, the ability to create custom reports.- Cross-platform;
